    COMPTOIR DES COTONNIERS LOVES WOMEN. THEY GIVE THE LABEL ITS ENERGY, ITS UNIQUENESS, ITS PERSONALITY. A POWERFUL EMOTIONAL BOND, FORMED OVER 20 YEARS… AND GROWING STRONGER ALL THE TIME THROUGH NEW PROJECTS.

    First and foremost, the label gives "mothers and daughters" their say. Comptoir wanted to celebrate their connection with some innovative new projects: a tennis tournament for "mother and daughter" doubles, a writing competition giving 2,000 women the chance to describe this special bond, and the publication of a book full of recipes for 2 people to make together...

    The label also provides a platform for creative women and new talents. In 2013, Charlotte Lebon was chosen to create an "anti bling bling" bag, using imitation diamonds as fresh and sparkling as the designer herself… or Calla, a young and talented fashion designer who embodies the cool-couture spirit so close to Comptoir's heart.

    Comptoir shows solidarity

    FOR COMPTOIR, BEING THERE FOR ALL WOMEN IS NOT JUST AN EMPTY SLOGAN. SINCE IT WAS FOUNDED, THE LABEL HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN SOCIAL SPONSORSHIP SCHEMES TO SUPPORT THEM IN THEIR DAILY LIFE, THEIR FREEDOM, THEIR BUSINESS ENDEAVOURS AND THEIR CREATIVITY, IN COLLABORATION WITH MANY DIFFERENT STAKEHOLDERS.

    Women’s Worldwide Web :
    2011 saw the release of the "Comptoir monte le son" album (whose title means "Comptoir turns up the volume"). All proceeds were donated to the Women's Worldwide Web association, to promote emancipation, education, microfinance, sponsorship and social entrepreneurship for women in developing and developed countries.

    Mercado Global :
    In 2014, Comptoir launched a capsule collection of 100% ethical-chic accessories made in Guatemala by craftswomen from the Mercado Global association.

    Workshops for self-esteem and help with returning to work

    Since 2014, in France, Belgium and Spain, volunteers from the Comptoir teams have been helping women in difficulty through workshops during their working hours. The aim: to help them to regain their self-esteem through clothing, write their CV and prepare for job interviews – Over 1,200 outfits have been given away so far.

    Elle Solidarité Mode

    Training the fashion designers of tomorrow.

    Comptoir has teamed up with the Elle Foundation for the 11th edition of the "Elle solidarité mode" fashion competition. The aim is to fund the studies of 3 young women from low-income backgrounds at 3 prestigious Parisian fashion schools. For two years, Comptoir covers the costs of 2 of the winners' studies.

    Tissons la Solidarité

    To promote women's independence and economic integration by training them in the fashion and sales businesses.

    Comptoir has chosen to donate products for them to customise and thereby produce a special collection to sell in the Tissons la Solidarité charity shop network. The label is also involved in skills-based sponsorship by providing training in sales techniques. Last but not least, for every Gift Card bought, Comptoir des Cotonniers pays 1 euro to Tissons la Solidarité.
